University of Alicante

The University of Alicante (UA) was founded in 1979. Being one of the youngest universities in Spain, the UA is also considered one of the most innovative and fastest developing in the whole country. More than 30000 national & 3000 international students are enrolled in 7 Faculties offering more than 50 degrees in all fields of study. The UA manages more than 2000 academic & 1200 administrative staff.

UA has among its primary objectives to drive its current model towards the future: consolidating its strengths and improving the aspects necessary to achieve excellence in internationalisation. As a leading international university, the UA has committed itself to supporting the various groups that comprise both the management aspects of educational provision, the students' interest, and the training, evaluation and encouragement of academic, research and administrative staff. In the context of international cooperation, UA has a keen interest in the training of university staff to aid the integration of countries in transition and develop their international status and networks.

At UA's Employment Centre we provide both the university community and companies a wide portfolio of services both in terms of internships and employment as well as entrepreneurship. Within this portfolio of services, individualised guidance activities, training programs, contests and competitions, internship programs and job offers are included with the aim of increasing the skills and opportunities of UA students in their insertion into the labor market. In addition, we bring talent closer to the business world, putting our students and graduates in contact with experts from large companies to establish a first contact with them and discover what they can offer.
