One of our partners, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines' (ECCP) Advocacy Papers for 2022 are out now. The ECCP Advocacy Papers contain relevant figures regarding the status of Philippine industries. These include Agriculture, Automotive, Customs and Logistics, Environment and Water, Food and Beverage, Healthcare, Human Capital and Education, Infrastructure and Aviation, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Tax and Financial Services, and Tourism. The Advocacy Papers also contain recent reforms and industry developments followed by advocacy recommendations.

The ECCP noted significant progress such as the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, increased mobility for businesses and consumers, as well as solid headways in boosting business confidence and the country’s position as a competitive destination for trade and investments.

“We are optimistic that we will see positive outcomes from the passage of game-changing economic reforms such as the amendments to the Public Services Act, the Retail Trade Liberalization Act, and the Foreign Investment Act. These will undoubtedly usher in foreign direct investments and create more jobs for Filipinos,” reads the introduction of their Advocacy Papers.
