The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) launched its SIBOL center with its first PUP Entrepreneurial Services and Support (PESSO) event on March 26, 2024.

SIBOL which stands for Seeds of Innovation for Business Opportunities and Leadership Development is an offshoot of PUP’s involvement with the Pathway project. It aims to seamlessly integrate the outputs and outcomes of the academic programs with the career development and entrepreneurship services and support of the University.

It will serve as the blueprint that will define the pathways that will lead students to opportunities for entrepreneurship and/or employment track, simplified as E to E&E or Enrolment to Entrepreneur&Employment.

This will also jump-start the new Entrepreneurship Service under the Career Development and Placement Office of PUP.

Some of the activities incorporated in the program include curriculum mapping and alignment, soft skills training, mentoring, leadership shadowing, business incubation, placement, and launching of a business start-up.

The first PESSO event was participated by BS Food Tech, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Entrepreneurship students.
