Philippine President Marcos has signed the Trabaho Para sa Bayan Act on September 27, 2023. The Act aims to stimulate national and local economic growth, enhance industry collaboration, and provide support to workers and businesses. The measure is also geared towards employment generation and job quality improvement in order to address the recovery of the labor market after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sharing the same vision, the ECCP has long implemented advocacy initiatives geared towards the enhancement of employability, such as the PATHWAY Project, which aims to help Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) meet labor market demands and governmental reforms. Likewise, the Chamber is also currently working with MSMEs in the in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), as well as other cross-sectoral collaborations.
