    The Benguet State University PATHWAY team held the Phase 1 of the “Drawing PATHWAYs to Employability and Entrepreneurship through University-Enterprise Cooperation” training online on April 24 and 25, 2023. A total of 47 participants from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) joined in to represent their schools which includes Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASSIST), Benguet State University (BSU), Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC), Ifugao State University (IFSU), King’s College of the Philippines (KCP), and Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC).

    Benguet State University is set to conduct a training series titled, “Drawing PATHWAYS to Employability and Entrepreneurship through University Enterprise Cooperation.”  The first phase, which focuses on employability, will be on April 11-12 at the Dominador S. Garin Hall, BSU La Trinidad.

    The month of February 2023 marked the second anniversary of the PATHWAY Project, a capability-building project for higher education institutions co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. PATHWAY which stands for: “Promoting the employAbility and enTrepreneurship of Higher Education graduates through innovative WAYs in the Philippines” is a structural project aiming to have an impact by enhancing entrepreneurship and employability culture of higher education institutions in the Philippines to meet labor market needs and governmental reforms.

    One of the Pathway partners, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines' (ECCP) Advocacy Papers for 2022 are out now. The ECCP Advocacy Papers contain relevant figures regarding the status of Philippine industries. These include Agriculture, Automotive, Customs and Logistics, Environment and Water, Food and Beverage, Healthcare, Human Capital and Education, Infrastructure and Aviation, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Tax and Financial Services, and Tourism. The Advocacy Papers also contain recent reforms and industry developments followed by advocacy recommendations.
